Join the Sonoran Joint Venture, the Friends of the San Pedro River, and many other groups for guided walks, talks, workshops, hands-on activities for people of all ages, donkey and carriage rides, hummingbird banding, and much more!
Activities begin at 7am and continue throughout the day. For a complete schedule of events, see below.

Be sure to wear good hiking shoes, bring plenty of water, suncreen, and a hat, and be prepared for warm temperatures. This hike is not appropriate for small children.

A variety of different bird-related activities will be offered. Visit information tables hosted by a variety of conservation, education, and outreach groups doing work in the area.

Come learn about reptiles of the region and meet some of Gray Hawk Nature Center's live critters.

Free pizza and drinks with a donation to Friends of the San Pedro River; live music from the Arthritis Brothers Band

Nest box building workshop

Led by Kate Scott/Birdland Ranch

Come join us for this workshop (geared towards kids, but fun for adults, too), where you'll build a nest box that will help provide habitat for birds at the San Pedro House or in your own yard.

4-6pm

Hummingbird banding demonstration

Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory

Join SABO naturalists to learn about these amazing birds!
