Colorado Delta Bird Conservation Plan Now Available
Version 1.0 of the Bird Conservation Plan for the Colorado RIver Delta in Baja California and Sonora, Mexico (BCP) is now available. The BCP is a joint effort among agencies, government, and stakeholders that have been working towards the conservation of the Colorado River delta. The general guidelines of the BCP include protecting all bird species, helping species at risk, maintaining common birds common, and basing all actions on collaborative, voluntary efforts for the benefit of birds, their habitats, and people, regardless of political boundaries.

A version of the SJV priorities, including species, habitats, and program objectives, is now available on the SJV website. This list should be useful in guiding proposals for the SJV Awards Program. Contact Carol Beardmore for further details about the application process.

Sonoran Joint Venture Technical Committee Meets in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico
The Sonoran Joint Venture Technical Committee met in Culiacan, Sinaloa, from 18–21 February, 2004. Hosted by Pronatura Sinaloa, the meeting took place at the Technológico de Monterrey and the Zoologico de Culiacan. Topics discussed included activities of partners, grant opportunities, the SJV Conservation Plan, and the new SJV education and outreach program.
