FREE TO THE PUBLIC!

Join us for guided walks, talks, workshops, hands-on activities for people of all ages, donkey and carriage rides, live music from the Arthritis Brothers Band, hummingbird banding, the unveiling of the new Southeastern Arizona Birding Trail Map, and a special ceremony and tree planting honoring Congressman Jim Kolbe.
Activities begin at 8am and continue throughout the day. For a complete schedule of events, see below.

Ceremony and tree planting in honor of Congressman Jim Kolbe

Representatives from the Sonoran Joint Venture, Friends of the San Pedro, BLM, USFWS, Los Ajos-
Bavispe Forest Reserve (in Sonora, Mexico), and more.

Representatives from different organizations will give a brief talk about the importance of the San Pedro River to migratory birds. The BLM will give a special thank to Congressman Kolbe, who led efforts to create the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area. Congressman Kolbe or his representative will give some brief remarks. Refreshments will follow the ceremony and the public is invited to attend.
